AI-enabled solutions
Practical AI applied to construction workflows
FIIDE is a construction, interiors and investment company. We are not an AI company — but we use digital and AI-assisted tools where they genuinely reduce waste, shorten reporting cycles and improve the decisions made on site.
The honest version
Software doesn't pour concrete. It does stop information getting lost.
Most delays on Kenyan sites are not caused by technology gaps. They are caused by a decision waiting on information — a drawing revision nobody circulated, a variation nobody priced, a delivery nobody confirmed.
That is the specific problem we point digital and AI-assisted tools at: capturing what happened on site, organising it, and turning it into something a client, a consultant or a financier can act on quickly.
Everything below is applied under human supervision by the project team responsible for your contract. We describe it plainly because overselling it would be exactly the kind of thing we built this company to avoid.

Where we apply it
Six workflows where it earns its keep
Structured site reporting
Daily site notes and progress entries are captured in a consistent format, then summarised into weekly client updates that read clearly instead of arriving as scattered messages.
Photo documentation & progress logs
Site photographs organised by date, level and trade, so a dispute about what was covered up in month three can be answered in minutes rather than argued.
Estimating and budget sanity checks
Historical cost data from our own completed works is used to review new estimates and flag line items that look unusual before they are approved.
Maintenance scheduling
Planned preventive maintenance calendars generated from asset lists and service intervals, with reminders that keep upkeep from slipping.
Faster client communication
Drafting of routine correspondence, meeting summaries and variation explanations — always reviewed by the project manager before it reaches you.
Document handling
Large drawing sets, specifications and tender documents searched and cross-referenced quickly, so questions get answered the same day.
Our principles
How we keep it useful and safe
A human signs every decision
AI output is an input to a professional's judgement. No cost, structural or safety decision leaves our office unreviewed by the responsible person.
We don't use it where it doesn't help
Engineering design, statutory compliance and workmanship stay with qualified people. Where a tool adds risk instead of speed, we don't use it.
Your project information stays yours
Client drawings, budgets and correspondence are handled with the same confidentiality as any other project record.
Measured by outcomes, not novelty
A tool earns its place only if it demonstrably saves time, reduces rework or improves the quality of what we report to you.
